As the days get longer and the nights get warmer, the prospect of an overdue celebration is hopefully on the agenda for many of us in the not-too-distant future. For her Spring/Summer ‘21 collection, Wales Bonner’s direct intention may not have been to craft the perfect wardrobe for an overdue summer release but the history, cultures and colors weaved into the collection’s garments can’t help but deliver such optimism.

Rooted in her British Jamaican heritage, Wales Bonner has spent an isolated year diving deep into a personal journey. For Autumn/Winter ‘20, the young designer took us to the streets of south London, where Jamaican culture fused with 1970s British trends and fascinations. For Spring/Summer ‘21, Wales Bonner’s garments are taking us back to the Caribbean, to the birth of Jamaican dancehall to explore one of the most vibrant scenes in music history. These colorful, 80s-inspired garments range from versatile lightweight outerwear to bright statement pieces, arriving at a time when a warm breeze, uptempo beat and a bright outfit is on all of our wish lists.
